Arch-bishop Iboyi Eulogize Orodje On His Appointment As Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council

The President General of Okpe Christain Assembly (OCA), His Grace, Most Rev'd GODDAY Iboyi has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Major Gen. Felix Mujakperuo Rtd, Orhue 1, Mni, the Orodje of Okpe kingdom on his elevation by the executive governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa as Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.

The revered and vocal clergyman said the Orodje of Okpe who ascended the throne 15 years ago, has been living an exemplary life worthy of emulation. Iboyi who is also the spiritual leader of Promise Kingdom Ministry Inc Worldwide aka Overflow CHAPEL headquartered in Sapele, in a statement by his secretary Bishop Joseph Adah, expressed delight that the revered monarch has upheld the rich culture of the Okpe People, which was handed down to him by his forefathers.

He said the Orodje has been providing the necessary support in uplifting the youths, Delta State and the country at large. He has proved to be a symbol of unity and peace since his ascendency to the throne. "You are the only king in the whole of Nigeria or West Africa that has Commanded the West Africa armed forces, to end the Liberian and Sierra leonian civil, War, also interesting to note that only last year you were appointed by president Buhari as the Chancellor of the Nigerian Military university in Biu Borno state, apart from you been a senior member of Urhobo council of kings, you are also the seating Chairman of traditional rulers of oil mineral producing community of Nigeria, TROMPCON", all these are traceable to your previous antecedents before your ascension as a worthy King.

GODDAY Iboyi recalled how the Orodje has been preaching peaceful coexistence among Deltans as well as making valuable suggestions on how to tackle insecurity in the country.

Agbarho Kingdom Palace Sets Ablaze By Unknown Arsonists

The palace of Osuivie of Agbarho kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have been set ablaze by a yet to be unidentified persons suspected to arsonists. Though the report was sketchy, it was gathered that parts of the palace was set ablaze at about 3am on Tuesday. According to sources, “The palace main hall, a guest house, a staff quarter that houses NYSC Corp members and the window of the traditional ruler’s apartment were among areas allegedly burnt. “There were also attempts to set the car of the Osuivie ablaze as petrol fumes were perceived in some parts of the palace. Speaking to newsmen, the palace guard, Mr. Friday Sabulefe, revealed that the arsonists, numbering three, broke into the palace, held him down and issued threats to him at gun point.
