Delta State Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Olorogun  Arthur Akpowowo, has been honoured with a leadership award for his efforts in strengthening the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the  state.

Olorogun Akpowowo received the award from the leadership of the Christian Community Platform CCP, led by its Coordinator, Bishop Greatman Nmalagwu.

Bishop Nmalagwu, Executive Assistant to the governor on Religious Matters, and others conferred the prestigious award on Akpowowo at the open field of the Eku Baptist Mission School at Eku in Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state.

He said that CCP decided to recognise the Eku born politician because of his contributions and support to the growth of PDP in the state and his local government in particular.

Bishop Nmalagwu explained that CCP would continue to honour those who are using their time to work hard for the party by assisting the Governor Okowa Administration to achieve its set goals in the state.

He told the people that they were set to flag E- registration training of Christians  in Asaba at the Life and Power Church, along Miriam Babangida Way on December 15, 2021 with the Commissioner of Finance, Chief Fidelix  Okemor Tilije, as the Chairman of the occasion, while the Special Guest of Honour would be senior Apostle Okolote A.S  Okorote, Chairman, Delta State CAN.

He said that the E-registration  of Christians was important because every election starts with it before the primaries.

He added,  " if better persons must be in authorities,  therefore,  Christians should join PDP in Delta state so that the good works of Senator Okowa will continue."

"Okowa is doing something very good for the state. Others should emulate him. Therefore, let all the Christians come out by joining  PDP," he added.

" Christians should Obtain their PVC and vote in the right people. The right person that will be the next governor so that the good things Okowa has started doing can continue in the next regime. We are inviting all Christians to be active voters in Delta state.  They should embrace our programmes come Wednesday next week for the benefit of us all," he said.
