ASEKUTU DOLES OUT 500,000 EACH TO WIVES OF VICTIMS OF WARRI NORTH WATER WAYS

In fulfilment of his promise to the people of Warri North local government that their welfare will be given top priority in his administration, the wives of the local waterways security operatives who lost their lives some months ago on the water ways to some sea pirate have benefited from the benevolence guesture of the Chairman, Warri North Local Government Area, Mr Smart Asekutu.

It was an atmosphere of miss feelings as both tears and happiness took over the air in appreciating the Local Government Chairman for not abandoning the wives and children of this great individuals who died while on their official engagement.

The Warri North Local Government Chairman who went emotional said” this little token of five hundred thousand naira each is in appreciations of the selfless services and personal sacrifices your husbands made in ensuring peace and security in our council area.

He said “Its quite unfortunate that their death happened while serving their fatherland saying death is the only thing no man can tell the day it will come, hence this persons died at a time when the council area need to consolidate on the existing peace in the area.”

He adminished them to be encouraged with the fact that the great values they left behind would serve as a guiding light in sustaining their legacy

The Council Chairman however, assured them of the council determination to provide the needed support to them when the need arises.

One of the beneficiary of the Chairman’s magnanimity Mrs Kate Worwei said they are happy with the level of support and earlier visit the council chairman has shown to them. They however said like Oliver Twist who will always ask for more made a passionate appeal to the council chairman for scholarship for their children and if possible employment opportunity in other to have a sustainable livelyhood.

The meeting had in attendance the various security agencies the HPM.of the council Daddi Amudo, SLG. Samuel Khalil, other Senior officials of the council and The CO, ARMY, DSS, CIVIL DEFENCE COMMANDER were present,

Old boys of Eziafa Grammar School on Sunday January 30th, 2022 prevented a fire incident that would have completely raised down three class rooms of the school buildings. The fire incident which occurred as a result of illegal bush burning was quickly averted by the timely intervention of Chief Eugene Inoaghan Executive Chairman of Sapele local government area.
