Amori, Ejorofor disagrees over Inauguration of "Ovie in Council"

....He does not have the constitutional power to do so - Joe Omene

Mosogar—  Chief Joe Omene, the Ejorofo of Mosogar kingdom in Ethiope West Local Area of Delta State has disagree with the Otota (Traditional Prime Minister) of Mosogar Kingdom, Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP, over the inauguration of the  "Ovie in Council" adding those involved does not have the constitutional right.

Sapele Mirror gathered that issues was said to have generated on Monday after Amori inaugurated 20 chiefs in the kingdom which he said in a press release was in a bid to create harmony, spirit of oneness and administrative effectiveness in Mosogar Kingdom.

In that meeting Chief Joe Omene and his brother, one time Council boss of Ethiope West Local Government Council, Dr Jerry Wilson, two notable chiefs in the kingdom were said to have been absent.

Amori alongside Ugo of Mosogar Kingdom, Chief Paul Ojarikre and Unuavworo of Mosogar Kingdom, Chief Abel A. Ogbakpah inaugurated 20 Chiefs of the “Ovie In Council” which they said was constituted from the two ruling Houses in Mosogar Kingdom (Udurhie and Uduaka).”

In a statement signed by Comr. Ovie Bethel, Press Secretary to Mosogar Ovie In Council on Tuesday evening, the chiefs were said to have been chosen evenly with the Udurhie and Uduaka Ruling House producing 10 Chiefs each and Comr. Ovie Bethel with Comr. Fidelis Eyenor serving as Press Secretary and assistant Press Secretary to the council respectively.”

The statement added that “the “Ovie In Council” was constituted specifically to assist the “Ovie of Mosogar Kingdom” HRM Samson Okiriobo Imoyi Omene PhD, Urhie1, The Ovie of Mosogar Kingdom in the administration of the entire land.”

In the statement, Amori, was said to  have represented the king at the inauguration, and the constituted list duly signed by Chief Jacob P. Ojarikre (The Ugo of MosogarKingdom while adding that “Chief Joseph Omene and Chief Wilson Omene from the Udurhie Ruling House couldn’t make the ceremony and will be inaugurated once they are available.”

However in his reaction yesterday, Chief Omene said Amori does not have the constitutional powers to inaugurate OVIE IN COUNCIL,

 “It was all fraud. What he did can only be referred to as “Otota in Council”. He wants to either divide or destroy Mosogar. He has been trying to rubbish the King and his legacies including the king’s family right but we are watching how he’ll go about it. We have our own options.” Omene fired back.
