Federal Ministry of Agriculture and NSPRI trains ADP staff on post harvest management
By Stephanie Ikanone Odiete In a bid to curb post-harvest losses among farmers in the country the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the Nigeria Stored Product Research Institute (NSPRI) organized a training program for staff of the Agricultural Development Projects (ADP) selected from states in the South-South and South East geopolitical zones of the country began training on technological innovation in post-harvest management in Sapele, Delta State. The program which started on October 18th, 2021 is scheduled to end on Friday October 22nd, 2021. While addressing the participants during the opening of the four-day training programme by the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI) on Tuesday, Dr Mrs Patricia Pessu the executive director of the institute, said that the training programme aimed to step down knowledge on post-harvest management through the ADP staff to farmers in the rural areas.
