Insecurity: Inoaghan goes tough Says Sapele no more hiding place for bad elements

Hon Eugene Inoaghan, the chairman of Sapele Local Government Area in Delta State, has taken a tough stand on criminal elements in the area insisting that he is ready to them out no matter whose ox is gored

“Please don’t compromise, and let me assure you that I will never do so too, anyone found in the act of cultism or involve in criminal activities, no matter how highly placed shall be made to face the full wrath of the law.

 "I shall be starting this, even those in government shall not be spared and there will be no hiding place for any cultist in this local government area.

The LG boss while addressing security chiefs in an emergency meeting held at the council Secretariat however said his administration has taken some steps to help curb activities of these criminals including cultists.

 "Anyone caught driving numberless vehicles will be arrested because it has been reported that these hoodlums and perpetrators of evil move around in numberless vehicles, and anyone caught violating the law will be dealt" adding that insecurity begins with everyone.

Meanwhile in a resolution taken at the meeting, and a press release made available to newsmen on Wednesday, October, 27, 2021, all keke and motorcycle operators have been mandated to register with their Union for proper documentation.

The chairman said this will help to checkmate the activities of motorcycle and keke operators within the local government as it has been alleged that some of this perpetrators of the occultic and incessant killing act move around with commercial tricycle and motorcycle.

Other steps taken to curb insecurity include that all okada are to work between the hours of 6am to 8pm on a daily basis and anyone caught outside this above-mentioned hours will be made to face the consequences

All POS outlets must also close by 6pm, adding that anyone caught violating the order shall be severely dealth with.

He further charged security operatives to intensify their efforts so as to keep the local government safe.

Agbarho Kingdom Palace Sets Ablaze By Unknown Arsonists

The palace of Osuivie of Agbarho kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have been set ablaze by a yet to be unidentified persons suspected to arsonists. Though the report was sketchy, it was gathered that parts of the palace was set ablaze at about 3am on Tuesday. According to sources, “The palace main hall, a guest house, a staff quarter that houses NYSC Corp members and the window of the traditional ruler’s apartment were among areas allegedly burnt. “There were also attempts to set the car of the Osuivie ablaze as petrol fumes were perceived in some parts of the palace.
